Days 1–2: the adjustment
If you're swapping a sugary breakfast or cutting back caffeine at the same time, expect a mild headache and some fatigue. This is caffeine and sugar withdrawal, not 'toxins leaving'. Drink extra water and don't add more juice to compensate.
Days 3–4: digestion changes
Most people notice more regular digestion — juice adds fluid and soluble compounds even without the full fibre of whole produce. Some bloating is common with high-cruciferous recipes; halve the kale for a few days if so.
Days 5–7: the good part
Steadier energy through the afternoon and better sleep are the most consistently reported changes. Blood pressure and glucose improvements, if they're going to happen, show up in readings from around day five on the relevant programs.
- Juice is an addition to meals, not a replacement — keep eating protein and whole vegetables
- One 300 ml glass a day is the program dose; more is not better
- Log readings if you're managing BP or glucose so you and your clinician can see the trend
One glass a day, alongside real meals, for at least seven days before judging. Ask the desk if anything feels off.
